Expert: Demand for office space has increased

Demand for office space has increased, particularly from people
made redundant during the recession and starting new businesses,
according to one property expert.
A spokesperson from Regus, a world provider of workplace solutions,
said that now is as good a time as any for people to set up their
own business.
The comments follow the publication of the company's half-yearly
results, which show that revenues are up by 9.8 per cent to
£557.4 million and cost savings of £23.5 million were
achieved on 2008.
"There have been a number of reports over the years that show that
start-ups increase in times of recession and we are seeing the
results of that," the representative stated.
The news comes after figures released by Barclays earlier this year
indicated that the number of new businesses and start-ups remained
at high levels in 2008, rising from 432,300 in 2007 to 436,600 the
following year.
